      The District's 5-year strategic plan was implemented in 2021 and will serve as the primary roadmap for planning and goal setting purposes. The plan focuses on academic success, social and emotional learning, family and community engagement, and staff development and support.

    • District Overview Suffern Central School District is made up of seven schools; five elementary schools (PreK - 5), one middle school (6-8) and one high school (9-12)
    • Accomplished Graduates The Class of 2023 had a 95% graduation rate. 93% of students will continue their education in a post-secondary environment across more than 110 different institutions including: Arizona State, Indiana University, Dominican University, Northeastern University, San Diego State University, every SUNY school, University of Vermont, University of Pennsylvania, Yale, Rockland Community College, and many more!
    • Top Ranked Athletics Program With more than 22 sports available in Varsity, Junior Varsity, Freshmen and Modified levels, all students in grades 7-12 have an opportunity to learn valuable skills in an athletics environment.
    • Instructional Supports Literary specialists, psychologists, ENL specialists, school counselors, special education teachers, school community liaisons, family resource center coordinators and more work together to provide customized instruction for all our students.
    • Real World Learning Opportunities From Project Based Learning (PBL) to our school gardens to technology labs and 21st century workspaces, our schools feature resources that enhance instruction at all grade levels.
    • World Language Begins in Elementary School Students have the opportunity to learn French, Italian, Spanish and at the high school, American Sign Language. Spanish language instruction begins district-wide in Grade 1 with our FLES program and students choose which world language they want to study in grade six.
    • Emphasis on the Arts More than 1,200 students participate in our music and arts programs and perform in a combined total of more than two dozen ensemble concerts each year. The high school produces a fall play and spring musical, the middle school offers a sixth-grade musical and an seventh & eighth grade musical as well.
